Here Be Dragons... Part 2!

Here is Part 2 of our paper clip and holder project!

I just love how this turned out! Its actually rather simple to put together and its just so fun! So continuing with the Magical Day Bundle (145985), here is the video and supply list for the paper clip holder!

Here is what you will need:

Soft Sky Cardstock (131292) - 4 1/2" x 5 1/4" 
                                                      - Score at 2 1/2" each side on the longer side.
Basic Gray Cardstock (121689) - 2 x 2 3/8" x 4 3/8"
Whisper White Card Stock (106549) - Scrap for your sentiment banner.
Lemon Lime Twist or Any Green Card Stock - For your vines

Embossing Paste (141979)           
Patern Party Decorative Masks (144103)
Palette Knives (142808)
1 1/2" Circle Punch (138299)                                  

Inks: Memento Black and Basic Grey.

Emboss Resist Dragon Paperclips/Bookmarks

Here Be Dragons...

Today's project is something a little different. When I saw this set I knew I wanted a Dragon Paperclip and I love how these turned out, and so simple to make using the Magical Day Bundle (145985). Not only are they a fab stationary gift but also can be used as a book mark!

Simply heat emboss your image with white embossing powder. Use your blending tool or sponge dauber to colour your image. Try mixing colours that contrast for an extra cool effect. Then use the dies to cut out your image, as well as one die cut of the coloured cardstock. Use glue dots to adhere your paperclip and die cuts together :) 

Here is what you will need:

Whisper White Card Stock (106549) - Big enough for your image.

Cherry Cobbler Cardstock (140490) - C6 Cardbase

Embossing Buddy (103083)           
White Embossing Powder (109132)
Heat Tool (129054)
Sponge Dauber (133773)                                  

Inks: Versamark, Soft Sky and Bermuda Bay.

Valentine Hearts Card

Heart Happiness...

While I am on a streak of doing quick and easy cards, thought i'd throw a valentines card into the mix. This valentines card features the Heart Happiness stamp set (145769).
I am just loving using stamps to create my own backgrounds at the moment and there are so many fab reasons to do so. You not only can get creative with stamping a larger area, you save your DSP for other projects, and in this case, get to use most of the stamps in the set. On this particular project this also extends to decorating the inside of your card and envelope! A fab way to get the most out of a stamp set. 
I simply stamped the hearts randomly to create my background!

So, on to the card...Here is what you will need:

Whisper White Card Stock (106549):
3" x  4 1/4"
3/4" x 3" - Banner
Scrap piece                                                               

Silver Thread (121688)
Silver Gel Pen - Mine is from Paperchase!

Card Challenge; Global Design Project 124 CASE Challenge

Hello Stampers,

Today I am sharing my entry for the Global Design project #GDP124 CASE the Designer Challenge. To CASE a project you take the elements you like from the design and make it your own. It could be the colours, layout or stamp set.

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

The challenge is to CASE from the card design below; 

I wanted to focus on CASEing the wreath so pulled together a few different stamp sets, some old and some new. I also really loved the thin Crumb Cake boarder and bow, so CASED these from the design also. 

As it's that time of year, hearts was a must and they work lovely with the wreath design. Of course I had to add some sparkle on the raised hearts and with the Sale-a-bration ribbon, which unfortunately the photo does not do justice! Wink of Stella was added to all the hearts which also really set off that sparkle in the ribbon! 

This was a simple yet lovely project to make, I also made it in pinks using Powder Pink and Calypso Coral. A suitable card not just for Valentines Day, but also Weddings, Anniversaries and new arrivals too! More pics below :D
